This is a short story, I believe it is  distantly related to the Black Dagger Brotherhood series, but not a part of the series, at least not yet. It is found in the Dead After Dark anthology.

Claire is a New York Attorney summoned to an elderly client’s home in Caldwell, once there she is drugged. She awakens to find her self locked in a room with a man who drinks her blood. She discovers that the man, Son, has been trapped down here for years. Can Claire continue with life after she is released, with no memory of being there, or will something have to change?

This is the sixteenth book in the Anita Blake series.

Anita agrees to go home with Jason, as moral support as he tries to mend fences with his dying father. Unknowingly they walk into the middle of a local situation involving vampires, and one of the boys that Jason was always confused with in high school. Things are not going well, but are being handled, until Mommie Dearest interfears, and then things only get worse. Once Anita manages to get free of Mommie Dearest, the vampire problem raises its head again. Can Anita get out of this one alive? and can she get Jason out alive too?

This is the eighth book in the Anita Blake series.

While on the visit, Anita ends up on the wrong side of the local Master of the City, and ends up battling vampires and working with the local werewolf pack. Will Anita manage to get out of this one alive and can she keep all those who rely on her alive as well?
