Salvation in Death ~ J. D. Robb
This is the latest book in the Eve Dallas series, I admit, I have lost count.
Eve is called to the murder of a priest, who was poisoned during a funeral mass, only, it seems, he is not who he has claimed to be for the last five years, and not really a priest. Can Eve, along with Peabody and Rourke, figure out who the he really was, and why he was murdered? Add to the case that a couple of days after the first murder, another preacher is killed by the same method, poison, in front of the crowd he was preaching for. Can Eve tie the two together, are they even related?

Can Anita face doing something about that?
At the same time, Anita is called out to work a pair of crime scenes, where Dolph can’t manage to keep his personal problems from interfering with his work. And Anita has to try to figure out who and what is committing the murders.

Grave Sight ~ Charlaine Harris
This is the first book in the Harper Connelly series.
Harper has been hired to attempt to find the body of a girl who disappeared 6 months earlier, in what has been ruled to most likely be a murder/suicide, with the suicide being the body that had been found. After Harper finds the body, and lets them know that she was shot in the back, she and her step-brother Tolliver leave town, only to be called back for questioning in another crime. While unable to leave town because they are under suspicion, others in town are trying to scare them off and run them out of town.
This book had a lot more details and charicter history, which you expect from the first book in the series, and not in others, I came to understand more about the chricters and really enjoyed it, would have been great if my inner-airhead hadn’t screwed me up and grabbed the second book first!
Grave Surprise ~ Charlaine Harris
This is the second book in the Harper Connelly series.
Harper Connelly survived being struck by lightening, one of the side effects is that she can sense corpses. if she stands on the grave she can tell you who is in it, and what they died from.
While performing a demonstration for a college class, in a cemetery where the records have only recently been discovered, Harper finds something that surprises everyone. Now she is trying to help solve this crime, without becoming a suspect herself.
I accidentally picked up the second book in the series first, so now I am off to find the first one.
Tailspin ~ Catherine Coulter
This is book twelve in the FBI series.
Someone is trying to kill Rachael Abbot. She manages to survive being drugged and dumped in a lake while tied to a block of cement, and now is on the run, trying to get to her uncle, who can help her hide while she figures out what to do. When suddenly her car quits, just a few miles from her uncles house, and as she starts the walk into town, an airplane falls out of the sky right in front of her.
FBI Agent Jack Crowne was able to make the crash survivable, despite the bomb that went off on board, and he and his passenger are still alive, but they have no clue were they are, and they need medical help. Rachael helps pull them from the wreckage and gets them into town but hides from them why she is really there, until the FBI shows up and more attempts are made on her life.
Also featured is a great deal more of Special Agents Savich and Sherlock and their family life, which was much overdue in my opinion.
