This the fourth book in the Nightwalkers series.

Damien is the prince of the Vampires, and has been for several centuries, after a Nightwalker library is discovered, all species of nightwalkers are invited to help investigate and see what is there. On Damien’s first visit he encounters Syreena, the Lycanthrope princess, who has been assigned to help oversee and protect the libarary. When Syreena is captured by the Demon traitor Ruth, Damien follows to rescue her, and in an attempt to save her life, breaks Vampire rules by drinking the blood of another Nightwalker. But what exactly happens? Is it as deadly as the Vampires have been taught for years?

Elijah ~ Jacquelyn Frank

This the third book in the Nightwalkers series.

Elijah is the Warrior Captian for the King of the Demons, and he has been out hunting a pair of traitor demons, who have been working with the necromancers to hurt their people as revenge, when he is attacked, he is so blindsided by the attack, that though he fights back, he believes that this will be the end of his life, the last thing he hears as he passes out is the scream of a cougar.

Siena, the Queen of the Lycanthropes, comes across the battle, and is unwilling to let an old war restart because a Demon was killed in her territory, she takes him to safety and nurses him until he can get back to his people, but there is more here than meets the eye. Can Siena and Elijah deal not only with their emotions but with the politics involved as well?

Gideon ~ Jacquelyn Frank

This is the second book in the Nightwalkers series.

Gideon is the oldest living member of the demon race, a  healer who has seen, and done, things that he regrets. Gideon is body demon, a healer among his people, but he finds himself at a loss with one woman, and at first, is unsure why.

Legna is the King’s sister, raised by him since their Mother’s death, and finding that, after over 200 years, she is yearning for something different, but is unsure what it is she is yearning for, until Gideon comes to help her discover what is wrong. Then she realizes what is happening.

Micah ~ Laurell Hamilton

This is the thirteenth book in the Anita Blake series.

Anita is called in at the last minute to take over a zombie raising for Larry, who’s wife is in the hospital in preterm labor. She takes Micah with her to Philidelphia, so that she can feed the Ardour. Once they arrive in Philidelphia, they discover that the Special Agent in charge of the case is Fox, the same agent who was investigating when Micah was attacked and became a wereleopard. Anita and Micah spend their first significant amount of time alone together and we learn more of Micah’s story. Anita raises the dead for the FBI and runs into a few problems.

This is the tenth book in the Anita Blake series.

Anita has determined that she can no longer hide from her links to Jean-Claude and Richard, but before she can work up the nerve to contact them again, Nathanial is taken hostage in a S&M club, and Anita calls Jean-Claude for help rescuing him.

Anita, Jean Claude and Richard marry the marks and when Anita is severely injured in the rescue, until it appears that Anita will become Namir-Ra in truth. Can Anita face that she may become furry, do what she needs to do and keep everyone that matters to her alive?

Burnt Offerings ~ Laurell Hamilton

This is the seventh book in the Anita Blake series.

Anita and Jean-Claude are forced to deal with a group envoy from the vampire council, who has come to confront Jean-Claude about the death of the Earthmover (Circus of the Damned) and the accusation that he is forming a new council in the U.S. One of the vampires that comes with the group is Asher, who was once a companion of Jean-Claude’s until he was captured and tortured by the church.

At the same time there is a mass attack on local Monsters, fire bombings on vampire hide outs and assassins with silver bullets attacking lycanthropes. Anita is working with the police when they realize that the visiting Master vampires are causing side effects in the local vampires and try to figure out how to deal with it.

Lunatic Cafe ~ Laurell Hamilton

This is the fourth book in the Anita Blake series.

Anita has been dating Richard for a couple months now, and they seem to be serious, until a visit from Jean Claude reveals that Richard has been witholding from her details of the inner workings of his Werewolf pack, and fights for dominance. Anita is summonsed to meet the pack leader, Marcus, because Marcus wants her to help solve a series of Lycantrhope disappearances. After a dominance struggle of her own, Anita begins investigating the missing people.

One of Jean Claude’s vampires is determined to get Anita out of Jean Claude’s life, and attacks Anita, to get her to tell Jean Claude that she wants nothing to do with him. When Anita goes to tell him that Richard has proposed, and she has accepted, Jean Claude demands a chance to woo her, and win her love as Richard had done, or he will simply kill Richard.

At the same time Anita is working on a case with the police of a murder done by a shapeshifter, and a skinned immortal, and wishing she could tell them about the missing lycantrhopes.

The Circus of the Damned ~ Laurell Hamilton

This is the third book in the Anita Blake series.

Anita is called out to a vampire killing, and discovers bite marks from 5 different vampires. There is a master vampire in St Louis who has gone rogue, the question is who? Anita agrees to go see Jean Claude, and see what he can tell her about any new vampires in town. At the same time, Anita’s boss, Bert, has hired a new animator to help, because Anita is having to spend so much time working with the police. Anita is late for his first night and barely saves him from losing control of a zombie. Anita quickly takes Larry under her wing, not only to train him as a animator, but also as a vampire hunter.

There is an ancient vampire in town, who believes that vampires should not be legal, and is after Anita to give him the name of the Master of the City so that he can kill him. Anita is reluctant, but at the same time, Edward has again been hired to kill the Master of the City, can she stand up to both of them and does she want to keep Jean Claude safe from them?

This book also has the first appearance of the werewolves, and Richard.
