Sizzle ~ Julie Garwood

Special Agent Sam Kincaid is on a lecture tour when Alec Buchanan called and asked him for a favor.  Someone had broken into Alec’s sister’s apartment and tried to abduct her and her room mate, could Sam act as bodyguard to Lyra, the roommate, for a few days until they could figure out exactly what was going on?

What Sam didn’t count on was the attraction between himself and Lyra, he was more drawn to her than he had been to his wife, and after his wife died he had sworn never to open himself up to that kind of hurt again. But can he stop it?

Shadow Dance ~ Julie Garwood

This is the sixth book in the Buchanan series. In this novel we also learn that the Buchanan series is loosely tied to her Rose series (For the Roses, One Pink Rose, One White Rose, One Red Rose, Come the Spring). Jordan Buchanan is goaded out of her safe established life by her brother’s partner, Noah Clayborne, and she goes to Texas, in a treasure hunt for a friend. What she finds in Texas is a lot more trouble than treasure, and in some ways, more treasure than trouble.
