The Last Summer (of You and Me) ~ Ann Brashares

The story of two sisters, Alice and Riley, and their best friend from childhood, Paul, and the summer that changes everyone’s lives. As they all make the final turn from childhood into their adult lives, Alice, Paul and Riley experience pain, lose and love.

I really enjoyed this book, it is not nearly as teenage as her previous series, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Much more adult, with a definite chick-lit leaning, which I usually am not to fond of, but this one was really good.

Forever in Blue: The Fourth Summer of the Sisterhood ~ Ann Brashares

This is the fourth book in the Traveling Pants series, and the conclusion to the same. This one starts out a little slow, had a weird feel to tit for a while, maybe it was just me, and I wasn’t in the right frame of mind. All the girls have their own plans for the summer, and none of them involve being home or with each other, Tibby, Lena, and Carmen are all staying at school for different reasons, and Bee is going to Turkey for an Archeology dig. They continue to trade the pants, but it just doesn’t have the same feel as the previous summers, they all pull away from the others for one reason or another.

Girls in Pants: The Third Summer of the Sisterhood ~ Ann Brashares

This is the Third book in the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series. This year the girls are 17, and moving on in life and preparing to go away to collage. The four girls, Tibby, Bridget, Lena and Carmen take turns with a seemingly magical pair of pants (fits and flatters 4 very different girls wonderfully), and in the wearing, something magical seems to occur with each girl. The wearer will make a realization or have something wonderful happen to them .
A great story, very entertaining and uplifting. A great young adult novel
