Fiona, the only daughter of the Fort holder impresses at a hatching she attended, even though she was not standing on the hatching grounds. While still wyerlings Fiona and all the others from her hatching are unexplainably tired and distracted. Then the pass starts and thread begins to fall, the wyers suffer incredible losses, on top of thread dragons seem to be getting sick, coughing and getting worse, until they die, or just disappear between. How can they keep the wyerlings from getting sick, and let them mature so that they can help fight thread?
